We are working towards a circular economy.

The aim of this model is to avoid waste and where this is not possible waste should be reused or recycled.

Residual waste is the REAL waste!

Rubbish that is contaminated or the quality of the material is so poor that it can’t be recycled.

Our solution:

Use this residual waste to provide a valuable resource and produce affordable, clean, local energy.

The Facts

Items that can’t be recycled include:

  • Coffee Cups
  • Yoghurt Pots
  • Nappies
  • Tissue

The average family in Cork produces 1.5 tonnes of waste each year

This is the equivalent to over 12 wheelie bins full of rubbish.

Ireland exported 263,000 tonnes of residual waste in 2018

This resulted in the  loss of energy and a loss to the economy

The Resource Recovery Centre Ringaskiddy provides a solution!
